What better way to make your employees feel appreciated than by giving them the chances to create memories? While cash gets locked away in a savings account or handed over to debt collectors, experiences have the opportunity of lasting a lifetime.

In our last video I made up two scenarios in which one employee gets a cash reward, while the other wins a cruise trip. Did you decide which incentive had the most lasting effect? Personal preference aside, it was Jenny who ultimately had a constant reminder of how her hard work is rewarded by seeing a picture of her on that trip on her desk.

Incentive Federation Chairman Karen Renk said travel and merchandise awards often produce greater bottom-line benefits than other incentive alternatives, and they can even be nothing short of a complete game changer. By rewarding your hard working employees with things other than cash, you make it clear that you not only appreciate their hard work, but you care about rewarding them with more than just money – you want them to experience great things.

We'll see you next time.
