So I didn't mean to leave you hanging in our last video…wait, yes I did! And I'm glad you're back. It's awesome when employees are motivated to making their company succeed, and the way to get them there is by keeping them engaged at work.

How can you do this?

One, create a work atmosphere where transparent goal-setting is the norm. Employee and business performance go way up when companie set individual goals for employees that tie in with the company's overall strategy, according to SAP company SuccessFactors. This lets employees see how their performance directly affects the company and makes them realize their importance.

Second, companies cannot forget to let their employees know when they're doing a good job – and when they're not. Workers remain engaged when they know they're on the right track. Any doubt about their progress or effectiveness will lead to a drop in performance, even if they were doing good work to begin with.

We'll see you next time!
