In previous videos, we've gone over how just offering cash to your employees won't motivate them as much as a specified non-cash incentive might. Well – this is especially important in today's context.

According to Entrepreneur Magazine, recognition and appreciation are integral components to employee rewards that are often overlooked by companies, so the key to making sure your incentive program benefits your top-tier employees is by remembering the small things.

Companies can fulfill the needs of hard working, well-compensated employees by awarding them publicly in front of the company when they do a good job, or by even a simple in-person Thank You from the president or CEO.
