However, there are other employee benefits, which are unique and may surprise some staff members. The San Francisco Gate identified a few companies that have gone out on a ledge with their incentives programs.

For example, Red Frog Event Company offers unlimited vacation days to workers, and CEO Joe Reynolds told the newspaper that's exactly what it is. Furthermore, after working for the company for five years, employees are treated to a four-week, all-expenses paid trip to Africa, Asia, Europe or South America.

Umpqua Regional Bank is another organization that provides quirky employee rewards. It offers staff members shopping loans to buy a new work wardrobe at no interest rate, the newspaper reports.

While not all businesses can afford to reward their workers once-in-a-lifetime vacations, all firms can get creative. Try brainstorming with human resources departments and employees to generate ideas.
