IT Project Manager (Atlanta,
GA)
This position represents a mid-level Project Manager opportunity, serving as the internal liaison for translating the organization's business needs into technical requirements (business processes and web applications). Xceleration's present need is for a part-time position, with the possibility of expansion in the future. Some position duties may be performed on a telecommuting basis. The Project Manager position will report to Xceleration's Director of Technical Solutions.
- Serve as the primary interface between internal client support contacts and other members of the Technical Solutions team to lead and/or assist in the design, development, implementation and on-going use of the company's software platform.
- Gather user requirements and effectively communicate them to technical counterparts.
- Assist in coordinating activities across multiple departments as they relate to technical support or development.
- Experience and proven ability to work proactively with technical teams in preparing development requirements for B2C and B2B applications.
- Demonstrated proficiency in understanding business system priorities, business process redesign/re-engineering.
- Experience working with software development requirements and wireframes.
- The ability to apply practical solutions through realistic planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills to explain technical concepts and functionality, and the ability to translate development issues to both technical and non-technical professionals at all levels of an organization.
- Experience with project management methodologies.
- Superior analytical skills to analyze data, conduct research, prioritize user requirements, diagnose and solve diverse technical problems.
- Self-motivation and self-reliance.
- Solid experience and proficiency with MS Windows and the Microsoft Office product suite, including MS Project and MS Visio.
